I personally can't wait to try it, I see that November 16th of this year is the announced release date for now. Still, as long as it's as good and compelling as F3, I am sure that mods (for the PC version at least) will be more than enough to make it look a little better. When Fallout: New Vegas released back in 2010, Obsidian Entertainment gave.
F3 looked already pretty dated when it was released 2 years ago, so it's a shame that they didn't decide to upgrade the whole thing, especially when you see the level of eye candy that recent and upcoming games are coming up with. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of one. The main issue here is that it's exactly the same engine as F3 (which was also TES: Oblivion's engine) that will be used once again, and it does not look like there were will be much visual overhaul. IGN did a pretty extensive preview that shows that it's basically more of the same great things that Fallout 3 had to offer, plus plenty of little improvements, including stuff from the earlier Fallout games for the nostalgic. I figured I might as well create a new topic for this game instead of adding stuff in the Fallout 3 thread.
